No, that is not allowed.
Can a king move onto a field that would make him "check"?

White queen moves onto the pawn's field. In this scenario, is the black king allowed to kill the white queen?
Edit:
I can't figure out how to post a chess diagram here, so I just describe the position:
- Black King: D7
- Black Pawn: D6
- White Knight: F5
- White Queen: D3
- White King: E1
It's White's move and the desired move is to move the White Queen to D6. Is the Black King allowed to move on to D6?
No.

Thanks @tygxc
I thought these were the steps I took, @justbefair, but I'll try that again next time.
Need further clarification: Does that mean that if the White Knight is not there, then the Black King could move to D6?

Yes

A king is not allowed to move himself into check. He is also not allowed to be on a square right next to the opponent's king.

Which... Is moving into a check...
FIDE Laws of Chess:
"3.9 The king is said to be 'in check' if it is attacked by one or more of the opponent's pieces,
even if such pieces are constrained from moving to that square because they would then
leave or place their own king in check. No piece can be moved that will either expose the
king of the same colour to check or leave that king in check."
