No, wrong answer. Actually, when it comes to intelligence let's ask who invented the computer ( no not an American, it was Bletchley Park 1940s and the English guy who did it went and taught Americans how to use computers to effectively own the battlefield, IE helped the CIA. Who invented the nuclear bomb? Wrong again. It was English physicists who unlocked the secret of the bomb (Oppenheimer just put the thing together) oh btw after telling the US how to create the most awesome weapon currently known to man in a trade of information deal, as expected those yanks then reneged on their part so we had to build our own bomb from scratch. Moving on, who created the Internet? Wrong again. It was an English guy. Forgot his name right now as had a few beers. Look all this up if you think I am wrong. Oh and who could forget the greatest physicist of all time by a long way. Sorry not Einstein. As he said in his own words " I was standing on the shoulders of giants", in other words many people had worked on the same theory he did, he just got the formula first. No, no, no the greatest is Hawking of course.

Now, my point is a long time coming but please excuse me I've had a beer. The point is- does the amount of chess masters mean that your country is blessed with smart people? No. Not at all. What it means is that while the US, China and Russia were sitting playing a 400 year old board game the rest of the world was at uni' studying and thinking up new technology.
