can't move certain chess pieces

one thing I've noticed during play is that you can't move certain chess pieces in a game, I've had issues moving chess pieces that I wanted to play. what's the reason ?

Do you have example games, the move you had the issue, and what you were trying to move?
Most likely your move wasn't legal.
