cause of skill fluctuation?

recently I hit my peak rating of 1650, and I was easily defeating 1600s ( only struggling few times ). Had a little tilt and fell to 1500s. But the problem is that I feel like my skills are reduced. For example, I blundered 1 move back rank mate in a winning position 3 times in three different games. It has also happened with me in the past and it took me a whole month to recover. What should I do? thank you.

Everyone goes through ratings fluctuations.
It sounds like you are tired. Those kind of mistakes come when you are truly exhausted. Be thankful you were not driving.
A suggestion is to get a good night's sleep, exercise more and eat a healthy diet.
