What is the difference between rapid and blitz?
How do tournaments work?
Is there an option to play other players live? I think because of my low rating? That I only have access to 24 hour games. Those aren't as fun because they're not in the moment. The moves are just so slow.
I have bought a subscription but gold seems like the best level. Is that a fair analysis?
What is a your daily rating? Is that just how much you use the app or does that have anything to do with quantitive skill?
I apologize, that's a lot

1. Rapid games are longer

3.Yes, you can go to play and new game and somebody should accept it.

4. It has to do with skill in the rating but mine is too low because I lost a lot on time

Now you're probably wondering, what magic I conjured up to find such a fine explanatory article?

No magic, just Help (bottom left)>Ask a Question.  You sound like the inquisitive type who should get very familiar with how that's done...

Another source of information is the forums.  Every thread has been archived and some of them can be quite useful.

There are several kinds of tournaments; you should do a little research...Keywords?  Arena, Swiss, and Daily

Play>Live Chess, that's how you find a live game.

Gold is OK if you mostly just want to play without ads.  Diamond is best for learning chess as it gives unlimited access to everything :Lessons, videos, Drills, Tactical puzzles.

Daily is the name given to correspondence chess on this site.  You can play rated or unrated.  Some players prefer it because you are allowed to use databases and any other static resource (no engines or assistance) so you can at least get out of the opening without getting killed.

Have fun!
