Is there a way I can practice openings. Like if I wanted to practice a specific opening like French Defense for example, it would show the steps you need then take you through a trial run with a computer to see if you memorized it??

Thanks

I personally use the studies on lichess for opening training. But it's better for my learning style than the chess.com openings database

I’m sure you can find something on Chessable.com like that!

To be fair, on that level it is opening principles you need, and to learn how to avoid blundering pieces for free.

Learn the first 3-5 moves of the line you wish to play, and then just gain experience by playing the game.

When you finish the game, you can consult opening explorer to see where did you deviate, but to be fair, people will rarely play a main line on that level. Openings don't really matter at this stage.

Just play and analyse when you lose.
