Coach

Hello, I was just wondering, if I find a coach online to get better with, what usually happens in these sessions? I understand each coach is probably different in their methods, but do I get to say “so and so is my favourite opening and I’d like to develop it” or would they teach me many openings?

Also do we NEED a web cam for the coaching sessions? Or would a microphone be enough to get the message across?

Kind regards!

You need to ask the coach you have in mind and request if there is anything specifically you want to learn. Otherwise coaches generally assess your current play and identify what they think you need to work on first and go from there. Most require audio, I don’t know of any coach who’d require video capabilities from you. A lot of coaches offer heavily reduced or even free, first lessons so you get an idea of what you’ll get from them and if you want to continue working with them or not. Ask around! Sometimes it takes a few coaches before you find one that you vibe with well. You’re the customer, don’t settle!

Yes, you just need mic. I'm a coach. You can ask me to work on whatever you like. Message me for more info.
