Not really, engine can poorly imitate humans on lower level. But you should play humans for sure. Playing against the engine is not really the optimal training if you wish to improve.
You will not know your true strength just by playing bots.

I’m a new, weak, and sometimes inattentive player. But I’m finding games against the beginner bots often, perhaps usually, easy winnable. Are the beginner bots programmed to inflate the egos of their human opponents?
Currently I can beat all the beginner bots. Does this mean I would likely rate around 950 or more? (I haven’t actually played a real person yet)
