how is my rating sub 1000 when I play computer at level 1400-1600 for even play? i assume computer is like 500 over rated. thoughts?
Yep, all of them are, its how bots work, I once played stockifsh 2, and he went for scholars mate, I decided to these him, and played 4.Nf6, and stockfish bring his queen back to e2.
Low to intermediate bot ratings certainly do not approximate human ratings very well, but trying to quantify just how "overrated" bots are is pointless. Bots simply don't play like humans. On the one hand, they make completely boneheaded blunders that humans would never make (e.g., inexplicably failing to recapture after an attempted exchange). On the other hand, they often play perfect openings (even against obscure lines) and defend well against early attacks.
