Difference in values on a loss?

Hello everyone! I’m new at competitive playing and was wondering: is there a hierarchy of points awarded/taken away in the way a player loses or wins? Example: if I know that I’m going to lose a match, is it worth more to my stats to resign rather than lose? Or to purposely let the time run out? Does it matter? Thanks in advance!
No, it doesn't matter. The only game result distinction that matters is win, draw, or loss.
However, if you're wondering why your rating changes different amounts after different games, there are also other factors besides the win/draw/loss result that affect it: your rating, your opponent's rating, your Glicko Rating Deviation (RD), and your opponent's RD.
