Does this happen to anyone else?

Whenever I play a game and review it, it gives me a fairly high rating based on just that game. I am playing against opponents with around the same rating as me but in game review it rates their game much lower than mine yet I ALWAYS lose!?!?! How?

Sounds like you made a significant blunder early on, but then made lots of best moves as your oponent took the most inefficient path to mate. If you go through it move by move, did they miss several mate in one or mate in two?

If you're decisively winning for a very long period, but then hang mate in 1, your accuracy will still be higher because you technically played "better" up until that point. The loser is whoever makes the last mistake.

It’s probably one of those “When A Singular Blunder Ruins the Game” moments

Happens to me quite often. So annoying.

Can also lose games on time in a winning position. I have lost a few that way.
