Extra Time added to clock

Sort:
Avatar of IFac3

Hi,

I know that after every move you normally get 5 seconds added to the clock (5I5 game). For some reason though in some games I do not have any time added, while the opponent does. Is there any explanation for this?

Regards

Perhaps it may be some sort of bug. I’ve often heard stories of similar things happening. Some sorts of “pawn glitch” and variations of it. Not so sure, I’m not too good yet so I don’t know too much about what to expect.

That is usually an anti-lag / throttling measure, for opponents with poor connections, the site will add time back to their clock after a move due to their connection that usually looses them that same amount of time
