Also, why would you switch from e4 to d4 just because the Fried Liver doesn’t work any more?
You could play the Scotch, the Ruy Lopez, or just play the Ng5 line of the Italian against the 2 Knights defense or just change that line against the 2 Knghts D and still play your normal Italian repertoire against other responses. For example I go Ng5 against 2 Knights, Evans Gambit against Bc5, Open Sicilian, Panov-Botvinnik against Caro-Kann… figure out your own repertoire.
Because I dont ACTUALLY like the fried liver, I just like the wins that come from it. (Although, Im starting to realize, whats a win if it isn't even that fun?)
Ruy is self explanatory, super complicated.
Scotch I did actually consider, but decided against, but I could use that as an alternative.
Ng5 is (in my opinion) not that good if blocked with the Na5 mainlines, and those positions dont look too fun in my opinion.
Also, respect for using the panov caro. Very nice.
Openings don't really matter until the 2000s in rapid.
Here you are contradicting what you said one comment earlier, when you claimed my repertoire was why I am 1400.
If openings don’t matter sub 2000, how could my repertoire possibly be the reason I am 1400, which is sub 2000?
See how your two claims do not work together at all?
