I'm in two Daily games. Unfortunately (actually FORTUNATELY), I am white in one and black in the other. And as I study the games, it was really confusing me (6 months playing now) but I found a real game changer for me so I wanted to share it with others new to the game.
I flipped the board one day out of confusion and WHAM - I saw what the OP saw!!!! i realized that, seeing the game from the opponent's POV - and looking back at ME, widened my perspective a great deal. It helped me see their thinking and possible moves! In fact, now every game I review or play, I flip the board and study that as well. It seems such a small thing but it meant a lot to me! Happy Chessing, everyone!
