Let me introduce you to Pranav N., a 10-year-old chess talent from the USA. Just three months ago, his rapid rating on Lichess was around 1650. Today, he proudly sits at 1900, and he’s still climbing.
What changed?
Pranav has been working with me through a very simple but effective system: one live Zoom lesson per week, and daily training tasks sent via Slack. No magic formulas. No 5-hour-a-day study grinds. Just clear structure, daily learning, and a personal connection.
We focus on practical chess: tactics, middlegame principles, endgame confidence, and pattern recognition. Every day, Pranav receives targeted work that builds understanding — not just memorization. He trains smart, not just hard.
In my coaching, I aim to create real, lasting improvement. I avoid flooding young players with complex theory or opening lines they can’t apply. Instead, I give them tools they can use — and when they follow the plan like Pranav does, the results are inevitable.
His progress chart tells the story better than I can — a steady, confident climb from 1650 to 1900 in just three months.
📈 And he’s not alone. Many of my students have gone from 1000 to 2300 on platforms like Lichess and Chess.com. But the most important part? They enjoy the journey. They understand the game. They grow as thinkers, not just players.
If you’re a parent of a motivated young chess player, or a student who wants real improvement, I invite you to join my September training group.
