You can if you want to but it won't do much good against most of the opponents you'll face since they will quickly deviate from book anyway. Since you're a diamond member and have unlimited access to the resources here, you should take more advantage of them. The new Lessons are a fantastic resource for anyone just getting back into chess. They do a great job of surveying pretty much all you need to play a decent game of chess. And of course while Blitz is fun, it probably won't help you get much better; you need more time to come up with good moves. I see that you've recently raised your tactics score many hundreds of points so good for you...You need to hammer away at them everyday though. No quick answers on how to get better; it all takes time and effort. Good luck!

"... Overall, I would advise most players to stick to a fairly limited range of openings, and not to worry about learning too much by heart. ..." - FM Steve Giddins (2008)
Currently trying to learn a opening for both black and white which i have found most success with so far, is this advisable or should i be trying a weird variety to learn the game more?
