Getting better in endgames

Hello,

I wanted to ask how to improve in practical endgames. I had two long games where I could not convert material advantages. In the one game I was two pawns up and in the other game one pawn up. Both games were according to the engine winning for me but ended in a draw.

In the most books (for example: Silman's book and 100 Endgames you must know) there are just theoretical endgames. But I search for books which talk about practical endgames. For example one Rook, one Knight and four pawns against one Rook, one bishop and two pawns.

It would be interesting if there are also books which teach how to create a winning position from an equal endgame position. My OTB rating is around 1700.
