The way I have approached building my "repertoire" has hinged on selecting lines in which my natural instinctual play either matches theory or is reasonable eval wise. Also, having identified my strong dislike for open tactical play and my strong preference for pawnful endgames and slow middlegames I am adjusting it every now and then to have peace of mind
