I'd definitely recommend analysing your lost games, you will have a much better idea what mistakes you're making and it should help you to spot your opponents. If you don't play the puzzles, they are a great way to improve your play and will help you to spot easy mates, Knight forks, etc. You might want to try some of the lessons too, they are ideal for beginners.

hey looking for advice on openings because i dont really get them i know london and catalan but im strugling to learn new ones any tips?

Hi, you should try to analyze your games and also other games even not from your opening, because it will help you to understand strategy.😊

Play according to opening principles. Don't spend time memorizing deep opening theory.
And solve puzzles to learn tactics like pins, forks, etc.

All youre playing is speed chess and you have fallen for the 4 move mate twice. Youre whole game is bad, not just the mid game.,
There are videos to defend against the 4 mate move. You can look up 'scholars mate', 'wayward queen', or 'early queen attack'.

Hi! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I’m a respected chess coach and chess YouTuber who helps beginners out :

Here’s some ideas to help you get better.
-I recommend two books for you: “50 Poison Pieces” and “Queen For A Day: The Girl’s Guide To Chess Mastery.” Both books are available on Amazon.com. Both books are endorsed by chess masters!
-If you are serious about chess, I highly recommend you hiring a chess coach to help you.
-Also consider all checks and captures on your side and also your opponent’s side. Always as, “If I move here, where is my opponent going to move?”. Do this for every single move!
-Play with a slow time control, such as G/30 so you have plenty of time to think before every move.
-You are welcome to come to my free online beginner chess class on May 14:
-Feel free to ask my question on my live chess livestream Youtube channel, every Sunday from 1-2pm PST.
I hope that helps you out!
