I don’t like d4 openings but everyone says London system so what do I do? I want to get 1500 elo in some time control (even bullet) before 2027. I started in September last year and went from 100 to 500 rapid and 100 to 1000 bullet.

then play e4, who cares what others say if you don’t like it

Exactly, it’s up to you what you do, not other people, and I’d that’s getting your elo up, then do that

Then don't play d4. When I first started playing chess, I mostly played the Scotch Game.

London or stonewall, stick with d4 opening, its actually really good for climbing to 1500. Then u can learn e4 openings later.

I usually play the scotch, but if faced with the accelerated london I play Nf6 on the off chance they transpose to queens pawn Chigorin

I enjoy e4 openings because a lot of different defenses can lead to tactic heavy open games

d4 games are also fun like Benoni, King's Indian, Grunfeld, Semi-Slav Botvinnik. Just go 1.d4, 2.c4 route instead of 1.d4, 2.Nf3 route.

You need to play what you like to play. If you play some opening you don't like, you'll be miserable.

Avatar of AmethystRuby

correct you will feel uncomfortable and it'll bring your elo down if anything
