Hi, I am Rishi ,currently 14 years old. I loved to play chess since my childhood but at the age of 10 i ignored chess for 4 years straight because I didn't knew that chess had such a big community & I was into studies more, now its almost 8 months now I saw the enormous chess community with people like MAGNUS CARLSEN .So I just began training ... But I play a match on chess.com and lose I don't know am I improving or not because I lose 3 matches out of 5. I want to be a Grand Master and will do very hard work for that please someone understand my situation and tell me what to do ?

Don't get discouraged. You have to lose a lot of games to get good. Learn from your losses.

I lost thousands of games before I got sort-of good.

The more you lose, the more material you have to learn from.

Never resign!  Learn about the whole game while learning to live with your mistakes (which is the first step to learning from your mistakes).  Right now your rating is not much lower than mine.  Though I'm old & have been playing chess longer than your parents have been alive.  Chess is only a highly entertaining game to me.  Don't let that stop you from being serious about becoming better.  Figure out your talents & develop them as much as you can.  Determination & hard work will carry you far in whatever you pursue.

1 step backwards, 2 step forwards! Keep trying, keep working hard! I started chess around your age (give or a take a few years) but was still able to achieve a title. You can do it! If you have any tips, feel free to ask!
