help understanding opening

I’ve been working my way through the bots and am playing David (1400). Haven’t managed to beat him so far but think I might today. He’s white. These are the first moves:

1.Nh3 d5 2.g3

I’m very new and don’t know much about openings beyond ‘control the centre and develop pieces’. I have never seen a chess opening like it, not even the 250 beginner bot. Is this the opening to some kind of trick/trap?

his idea is to bring bishop to g2 which is opening but not trap

Nh3 and Bg2 develop pieces, prepare O-O and Bg2 controls the center squares e4 and d5.
Nh3 is not optimal, but leaves pawn f2 free to advance. It is kind of a Leningrad Dutch defence reverse: 1 d4 f5 2 c4 g6 3 Nc3 Bg7 4 Nf3 Nh6 5 h4
