Holiday chess tournament with prizes

Holiday Beginner chess tournament 1200 or less rating (those with higher will be removed) starting in December. 

First place will get 1 year diamond membership or if they already have the membership, will get $100 thechessstore.com gift card. 

Each round, there will be a random drawing and winners will be gifted a monthly chess.com membership.

What happens if I reach a rating above 1200 in daily chess? I assume I will be kicked, right?

Yes, If you’re above 1200 by the start, you’ll be removed from the tournament.

However if you are below and go above 1200 during the tournament, you stay unless it’s obvious your skill level is way beyond 1200 (ie if someone creates a new account before it begins, has a rating of 400 and smokes all the competition haha).
