There is no restriction on the rook passing through a line of attack, only the king.
This situation often confuses even experienced players, but as other people have already pointed out, the king does not pass through a square controlled by the enemy queen, just the rook

How do you figure your queen stops anything?
King must not have moved.
Whichever Rook you are castling with must not have moved.
The KING cannot come out of check, jump over check, or walk into check.
All rules are met, White can castle Qieenside.

I am having trouble copying and pasting the link (happens often when I am on my cell phone instead of laptop), but go to Chess Openings and look for a long topic header that mentions the Alapin Gambit in the French (it is fairly recent, should be first page of threads if you look today.)

"The castle" is completely irrelevant if it has not moved before, only the king plays a role.
Now, read again at #9:

Do you have an encephalopathic disease or something. Yes that is right I was taught that as my brother taught me chess however having read the comments others taught me different and that is what i was stating. I did this thing called learn. I was explaining my previous understanding and thanked people for correcting it for me. As everyone can now see being a chess IM does not protect you from catastrophic brain diseases.
