I embarked on my chess journey with a mix of curiosity and determination. Drawn to the game's rich history and intellectual challenge, I started by learning the basic rules and strategies. My approach included online tutorials, chess books, and playing against both human and computer opponents.

My chess journey began when my parents bought me a petite electronic chess training kit. I didn’t understand what it meant when it kept repeating “e4” so I threw it in the trash.

My brother showed me how to play chess as a child. I didn't like to lose, so I stopped paying all games. Fast forward 50 years...

I saw videos with Anna Cramling on YouTube and started playing on chess_dot_com. I still hate losing but I use Focusing (by Eugene T. Gendlin) to manage my emotions.
