How is stalemate achieved? Keeps happening I have no idea why 🤔

If one side has no legal moves, it's stalemate.  Remember the king can't move into check.   Here's a whole article...

one side has no legal moves + their king is in check = checkmate
one side has no legal moves + their king is not in check = stalemate

Good for you as it is every time a draw :-)

Hi!

When it's the person's turn. And that person's king is not in check and has no legal moves. That's when stalemate happens.

Remember, stalemate is draw, so if you are in a completely winning position, you want to win. Do not accidently stalemate your opponent.
