How should I increase my rating points?

Hello everyone I am here to ask some advice or tips and tricks to increase my rating points in Chess. I know already I have high rating, but just like every player I want more.

I am more frequently win, but today I lost to 800 which is a shame for me, so I am back to working in openings and ratings et cetera. Are there any advices, tips or tricks to help me increase my rating?

Please help me friends

Tips and tricks are fun but it is probably better to

figure out what you did wrong in your loss to the 800 so you can have a better chance to win next time.

You should probably study the basics of the e4 e5 opening and learn why white doesn't usually take the knight with the b5 bishop and then take the pawn on e5.

Doing a lot of tactics problems might help you spot why 8 b3 is a bad move before you play it.

Hi! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I’m a respected  chess coach and chess YouTuber based in California:

Here’s some ideas to help you get better.

-I recommend two books for you: “50 Poison Pieces”   and “Queen For A Day: The Girl’s Guide To Chess Mastery.”  Both books are available on Amazon.com.  Both books are endorsed by chess masters!

-If you are serious about chess, I highly recommend you hiring a chess coach to help you.

-Also consider all checks and captures on your side and also your opponent’s side. Always as, “If I move here, where is my opponent going to move?”

-Play with a slow time control, such as G/30 so you have plenty of time to think before every move.

I also offer 500 two-choice puzzles on my website: https://www.chessbylauren.com/two-choice-puzzles.php

I hope that this helps.

Watch Naroditsky's speedruns? That's what I'm doing, (I don't know if it increases my rating though, I've only started recently, but his explanations are wonderful. Seems like a great person too.)
