How to beat a Grandmaster

So let's say it's round 1 of a chess tournament.  You are a complete beginner and you look at the pairings and you are playing against a GM rated 2600.  Even worse, you're playing black.  It goes without saying that the odds are hardly in your favor.  But fear not, because the game will be over in just 30 seconds, and not in favor of the super GM.

I wish you luck in using this strategy to beat GMs and maybe someday you will become one.

I actually used that strategy to beat a grandmaster

Good trolling. But (2) would probably be upheld as resignation and (3) isn't a valid touch move claim.

Be careful, if you pull that one, GM may "beat" you with a golf iron.

A better strategy would be to slip a mickey into his drink when he isn't looking. tongue.png

the gm could take your queen with his knight instead of moving the king. also hes not in check at all either due to the pawn behind the aformentioned knight.

He said he made the GM touch the king, so then the GM had to move the king.

But it's lockdown, mate and this is the age of online chess, so I doubt the practicality of your approach.
