What I would suggest is make sure you're playing rapid (10 minutes) or longer, to give yourself time to think. And before you make each move, ask yourself ... How does the position change after I make this move.. i.e. what is now under attack that wasn't before, what (of your own pieces/pawns) that were previously defended are no longer defended, does this move give the opponent a chance to win material or checkmate me?... If you ask yourself that every move you make, I am quite sure you will see improvement
How to clear 400 rating?

I tried this in last 1 year, have apps like magnus, videos on YouTube of logical chess book. But still 300. But people here play just for fun and in a few weeks they get 600-700 rating.
Well, thanks for answer
You know your rapid rating is 798 though? Keep playing rapid, not blitz (and no bullet)
Nah , those games were played by my friend .

Oh ok, but still I think play 10 minute games or longer. Give yourself time to think. I've been playing since the mid 1990s though admittedly I've had a couple of 10 year breaks so I can't claim I've been playing for 25 years because I haven't. But still I find that 5 minute games I get into too much time trouble. If you're new to the game you need time to think about what you're doing. When you have the instincts and knowledge of positions and how pieces move you can play more quickly. Until then take your time and think about what you're doing and I'm still sure you can improve

Winning at speed chess depends more on the other guy making a big mistake than it does on playing well. Heed the advice and slow down.

Hi! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I’m a respected chess coach and chess YouTuber who helps beginners out :

Here’s some ideas to help you get better.
-I’ll be happy to analyze one of your chess games for free for my YouTube channel, since I love to help beginners out. Share one of your games with me! This is a great way to get better!
-I recommend two books for you: “50 Poison Pieces” and “Queen For A Day: The Girl’s Guide To Chess Mastery.” Both books are available on Amazon.com. Both books are endorsed by chess masters!
-If you are serious about chess, I highly recommend you hiring a chess coach to help you.
-Also consider all checks and captures on your side and also your opponent’s side. Always as, “If I move here, where is my opponent going to move?”. Do this for every single move!
-Play with a slow time control, such as G/30 so you have plenty of time to think before every move.
-You are welcome to come to my free online beginner chess class on March 12: https://www.chessbylauren.com/blog/OnlinechessclassMarch12

You are not supposed to let others play on your account. Do not let others use your account from now on.
Clearing 400 rating takes time. For some people, it's instantaneous. For some people, they cannot reach a rating of 400 even in a lifetime.
But a reasonable time to get past 400 is six months given that you have had difficulty in crossing the barrier.
Note that if tygxc comes in to comment, he will mention something along the lines of "reaching 1500 just by not blundering".
Hi. I m currently at 300 from last 1 year .
