Hi Scott. Welcome to the site. The change in rating depends on the difference between ratings. Also the increment will be smaller if you win against an opponent with a lower rating than you and larger if they have a higher rating. It works the other way, you can expect a larger rating drop if you lose to a lower rated player.

Im new to the site and i am wondering why i only get +7 on my rank for a win, im finding it really hard to try and build this up does anyone have any tips?
My game isnt horrible im just irrational sometimes ahaha!
