how to move the horsey thing?

Jeez, this guy wants help. Ok, so in order to move the knight, you should have it in the middle, or near it, of the board. The knight moves in an "L" shape anywhere on the board. In the middle, the knight has eight spaces it can move, but on the side, the knight only has four moves. This is why you keep it in the middle. Now, that being said, to deeper understand the knight I highly suggest a YouTube tutorial or a Chess.com lesson. Good Luck!

I want to congratulate you for the tremendous luck you have had getting a rating over 1000 without knowing how any of the pieces move. Could I invite you to come to my college and give a lecture?

So I think the horsey moves in an X pattern around the board. Then you sacrifice it for a pawn and win your game with your snazzy dark-squared-bishop.
