In chess, there are multiple ways to win a queen or lose a queen. In some situations there might be a way to sacrifice it or to lose it because you have to. ( probably because it’s a check and it is also threatening the king and the queen at the same time.
But there is a way to get a queen back or to make another one. That is called promotion. In that case if a pawn reaches the other side of the opponents side, it can turn into a queen, rook, bishop, or a knight. Most player’s promote their pawn into a queen. On the other hand, you may not want to promote your pawn because then it would be a bad move. For example if you promote your pawn and there is a rook on the same file, then it would be a blunder to do that
