That's me 😅 any advice to us please
how to use less time on a game
You have to force urself to think faster, thats often effective. I started with 5 minute blitz and realized i often losed on time. Then i started playing 3 minutes, now i can handle the 5 minutes way better cause its normal for me to play with less time. Same with bullet. I started to play 30 sec chess and now normal bullet doesnt feel to fast and impossible anymore.
Of course that doesnt work for everyone. Speed will also just come with the experience and general knowledge of the game.

While starting out, this is completely normal. When you get better, some moves will come more naturally. In general that is one of the reasons it is good to play longer games, especially when starting out.

I have tips and resources to help you avoid losing on time.
First of all, I suggest solving tactic chess puzzles, so you can recognize the specific pattern in the game. If you recognize the specific pattern, then you exactly know where to move. Therefore, you use less time per move!
-Learn basic tactics such as the fork, discovered attack, pin, and more. I offer interactive puzzles on my website:
-If you are serious about improving, I suggest hiring a chess coach.
I hope that this helps.

Honestly, just increase the time to think. 60 minute games or daily even better. Until basic pattern recognition and a consistent thought pattern when considering candidate moves becomes automatic you will either time out or settle for less than ideal moves yo avoid timing out.

I studied a bunch of opening theory so i can blitz out my first 10-15 moves, although this goes against general advice for " begginers" whatever rating that may be. I used to lose on time in 30 min games...looking for the best move when all i needed was a good move.
Play the same openings and just keep remembering lines deeper into the game. It is a memory game as much as it is a puzzle game. The analysis will help you find the best moves in a situation where you were stuck.
Hi 😀 I wonder if anyone have any tips on how to avoid losing on time. Do I simply need to get better so that I’ll use less time on each move?
I even lose on time when it’s 30 minutes
