How To Win Winning Endgames

go to "details" in the chess diagram and then check "puzzle" and then, click on "moves" and do the correct moves and the continuation of the enemy

O wait, I did a gif, not a puzzle, im gonna try again
Can anyone explain stalemate to me? I thought I was gonna put my opponent in checkmate but instead I got stalemate. I don't understand this concept very well. Can anyone help me with that (or direct me to a place I can find an answer..). Sorry if this is a dumb question

Stalemate is simply when you cant do any move but your not in check
Example:
As you can see after white used that pawn to block blacks pawn, black got stalemated, resulting into draw since the king isnt in danger but cant move.

2. Rook Endgame
The rook is the 2nd most powerful piece but the mate with it is far more complicated to a beginner than a queen mate. so pay attention!
Step 1. block the enemy king.
Let's say your rook is 2 colums away from the king, then move the rook 1 colum towards the king and you will notice it will not be able to pass into the colum your rook is in.
Step 2. activate king
get your king closer to the enemy king. The kings are now distanced by the colum where your rook is currently in.
Step 3. get Oposition
oposistion is probably the most important factor in any endgame in chess. what it means is to get your king facing the enemy king. and you will be covering the 3 squares that the king could advance so now, get oposition separated by the rook.
Step 3. push the king
keep chasing the king with your king until it reaches an end of the board and the enemy king will take oposition to you, but now move your rook diagonally from the enemy king and you formed a "box"
Step 4. make the smallest box
Make the box smaller by pushing the king by blocking colums with your rook, until the king reaches a corner.
Step 5. Get oposition again! you get oposition and once you do, move the rook into the colum the king is and checkmate!!
now I will not put a puzzle because it's kinda hard for beginner but I will put the sample:
yea... I know it looks complicated but keep practicing and you will get it!
"practice makes perfect" the best quote
note: This is all for beginners and advanced or intermedium players will understand all.
We all remembered when we just started playing chess and finally get a winning position and then for our low iq we stalemate the oponent or lose the piece in which we could win
so here I will show some common steps on how to win very common drawn positions by beginners even though it was winning for one side.
you will have an explanation on how to win and then solve a puzzle.
so let's get started!!!!
1. Queen Checkmate
The queen check mate might at first look simple because we have the most powerful piece, but it isn't that simple for a beginner.
so step 1. get your queen to a knight square away from enemy king.
What I mean by this is to move your queen that if it where a knight it would be checking the king.
Step 2. copy the oponent's moves with your queen
simple! just say... if king move down you move down with the queen, if king diagonally same and so on
Step 3. (the disicive) you will keep copying your enemy's moves until the king reaches a corner of the board. there you MUST STOP FOLLOWING KING other wise it would again be a stalemate.
Step 4. activate your king!
once you stopped moving your queen, now move your king near to enemy king which now should be moving back and forth between 2 squares.
Step 5. once you face the enemy king with your king, move the queen directly in front of the enemy king and there you have it!! Checkmate.
I will keep posting more endgames but for now, this is the first. Now Puzzle Time!!
