I have a good suggestion for playing with beginners

I've taught my nephews chess. Obviously to give them a chance I would intentionally play badly, but I found that boring plus I don't think it's doing my own chess-playing any good.

So here's what I've started doing when I play a game with them I want them to win- I don't make any intentional mistakes, I play to win, but once I have a very good advantage I explain why I'm winning and what I plan on doing next. Then I turn the board round and swap colours to see if they can bring home the win! This is more fun for me.

I've taught many young beginners. I remove my Queen. If he didn't have a fighting chance, i remove another Knight. As he plays better, i add the Knight back.
