Watch instructive chess content on YouTube Chess fundamental series by John Barthenolew is a must, and some awesome channel like GothamChess, Chess coach andras.
Play long games.

Yeah, seriously.
Unless you have a coach who continually pushes you for greater.
Sometimes I become lucky, like once I won 3 matches because all the 3 opponents got disconnected

Hello Sajebwazed, there is a lot to this game and it takes time to see improvement. I have been coaching part time the last 3 years and I have a lot of experience getting beginners to 1400 level or so and even higher.
