I won my first ever game?

So,

I have just played my first ever game of chess in my life, and I won (on time), though it was 30 minutes, so quite a lot of time.

Before this for a few days, or more like a week or more, I have watched countless chess youtubers like Anna Cramling, GothamChess, Boetz sisters, ASMR Chess etc, and I am well aware of folks like Hikaru and Magnus Carlsen.

Maybe a week - two weeks of watching their content has taught me some things (I don't know?).

I did try to open with the Queen's Gambit, but It may have been the King's Gambit (sometimes I get the queens crown and the king's crowns mixed up).

My opponent really did take a lot of time thinking and ended up loosing because of that, but we were both not rated and were playing a 30 minute (each) game, so I don't think we were playing at a level where that kind of thinking time is required, but I am not at the level of knowledge where I am going to accuse anyone of anything yet, just that they did seem to be taking unnaturally long, considering I ended up with over 23:36 minutes still when they ran out. That said them taking that long did also give me time to analyze and think too, which probably also helped.

The one blunder I am most embarrassed by that I made in the game is that I didn't notice when they moved pawn to c6 after I played bishop to b5, I somehow just didn't see them make that move (that maybe was there one only quick move) and then I was surprised when my bishop got captured. I was expecting it to get captured of course, but only after I captured their pawn first. If I had noticed they made the move, I could've captured.

Near the end of the game some of the opponents nights, and queen were getting very close to my king, not yet checking or check mating, but getting close to it. If the game had gone on longer, I expect at some point I would've lost, but since they took so long, I won.

Funny thing is, I did offer them a draw, after I waited for them to make a move for 5 minutes the first time, and they declined. They may have regretted their declining of my offer after, I guess?

At least I can say that I did win my first ever chess game.

I did save the game, so I can go back and review and analyze it.

If you want to review the game yourself and share your thoughts (which I would be interested in), here it is:

Don't forget to watch for threats to your queen. It was hanging at one point.

Also do not play useless pawn moves they do not help.. try to control the center and develop knights and bishops towards it so they can be active..
