There are a lot of players lower rated than the op. And he's not the only one helping. I am helping. He has a friend helping. And there's a guy better than me helping.

Think your tism is acting up mate. A forum post doesn't have to be literal. Obviously anyone too strong to be helped would check the rating and decide that he can't help them.

How do you make the rook and the king castle in this app? I moved the rook texted to the king, but it didn't do anything, and I never moved the king.

You always move the king two squares and the rook moves automatically. If it wont let you move the king two squares, somehow it’s an illegal move (in check, already moved the king or rook, etc).

Actually, I thought this thread was 1 of the greatest threads ever created.

It is a thread designed to help people.

Higher Level Players helping Lower Level Players all in 1 forum thread vs. 200 individual threads.

Sometimes, A Chess player rated 800 can have a bigger impact on a 600 players improvement vs. 2,000 rated player.

It all comes down to connecting with people.

People who only have a 200 rating difference often speak same chess language. They use the right words to help people understand and improve.

I have had people tell me they don’t understand what I am saying at all.

I was 2000 rated at the time and the person I tried to help was 500 rated. I explained everything as best I could and in the end the player couldn’t understand a single word.

Reading what I wrote just made player more confused.

Everything I wrote seemed so natural and normal to me and to other players it was as if I was speaking different language.

Not single word understood.

How about we consider forming a club with a group of individuals who are eager to support others? We could channel all those seeking help or advice from these forums into this club. This way, we can create a more organized space where we provide resources for them to read or watch, and participate in various learning activities as able. It would foster a supportive learning community streamline the assistance process some here are giving and make it easier for others to find already given resources/advice or people they are confident they can reach out to for help.

Something to consider, I'd be willing to pitch in.
