It depends.  I play GO and blitz is like candy fun to eat.  But too much can be detrimental.  What can develop is ur good at tatics and shape recognition, but you can develop the habit of not being to concentrate and to think things thru when needed.  This is especially easy when one plays online, works weird hours, and is sleep deprived.  Slap the piece down and think after......

But blitz can be fun!

What do you mean by slow chess? 30 minutes or more per player? I find it difficult to play 10 minutes chess after playing many Daily games. Oops it's the other way. I play Daily in blitz mode. I know i can use unlimited time but I got the blitz habit.

Depends...

If youre an established player then no.

If youre the casual player that isnt concerned about improvement then no.

If youre a beginner whos goal is to improve then yes.

Thanks Bacon, I'm not a beginner but I am a beginner. Trying to really learn the game again I played a lot as a kid and I'm having issues with the middle game.

If your goal is to improve.  Then ask yourself:  "How do i expect to improve when im moving fast?"

If youre not giving yourself time to think things through.  How do you expect to improve?

keep playing your game until you improve to get in success result

Once you're reasonably good, I'd say ten minute blitz can actually be quite beneficial. Bullet seems pretty counter-productive to me, apart from for learning openings, and for spotting two or three move tactics (which are probably unsound)
