If your opponent has a lonely king, then it is impossible. However with a bishop, rook or a knight for your opponent, it is possible!

Against a lone king, you can't even win with 2 knights, let alone one.  You can win with a knight and bishop, but it's quite tricky and unless you know how to do it you may run into the 50 move rule https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFF5ibgB6eA

Technically yes, there are theoretical positions K+N vs. K+P where you can mate with a knight iirc

wrong!! one can win with two knights the opponent just has to help. beware the low rated for they know not what they think they know and say it with extreme authority
