I played chess as a kid but then decided to get back into it. I started taking lessons from a 1600+ player on Martha's Vineyard, who was excellent, but not a real "teacher" of chess. You have to understand there are black diamond - or expert - skiers and then there are ski *instructors*. There amazing tennis players who are not amazing coaches. @Kestony embodies both. In lessons conducted over Skype (surprisingly effective) between Martha's Vineyard and Lithuania (Kestony's HQ), my rating went up literally 300+ points. It has been an amazing journey and one I look forward to continuing.
