I put zero stock in computer analysis. Your better off having a person look at your game. Chess engines only know the best move, which could be a mate in 7 a GM would have to spend an hour to puzzle out. Or perhaps some other move that had a positional advantage that would stump most if not all grandmasters because the engine was following a line over 15 or even 20 ply deep.
A human can look at your rating and know exactly what you could understand of the position on the board.
If I looked at a game you played, I would limit my observations to 2 to 4 ply, and spend time going over immediate threats of a single ply. For example pointing out pieces that are en prise.
Hey everyone,
I've played chess for a while now, usually with my dad or with some relative or random person i've met who also enjoyed the game. Now I am playing online for the first time and I can't even understand how bad I am. I have played roughly 10 games of 10/20 minute blitz and have gotten just completely wrecked. I look at the analysis and I see why they offer certain moves, but i'm just not capable of seeing them myself. I'm sure it comes with time.
But in the mean time I was hoping to find someone who would play maybe a daily or weekly slow game with me and just give me the occasional nod in the right direction as to the mistakes i'm making and how/why I am making them.
Any other beginner level advice would also be welcomed, I've read the other threads and am going to go through the lessons on this website, but for now it all just seems so insurmountable.
Thanks for taking the time.
