+number next to username

Hello! I am curious as to what the +(number) represents next to my username, please can somebody explain? Thanks :)
Thanks for the response, but I think you are referring the the player rating. I have a +18 next to the pieces that I have captured, what does this number mean?
The pieces have points assigned to them. For example, a queen is worth 9 points. So if you take your opponents queen, you would be +9. I don't think points matter at all, but give you an idea (somewhat) on who is winning the game.
It just represents how much extra material you have.
An extra pawn= +1
An extra rook= +5
An extra bishop/Knight = +3
And extra queen=+9
A +18 would mean that you have an extra queen, rook bishop and pawn.(Or some other combination that add up to 18
9+5+3+1 =18
