Online courses - help studying

Hi,

I've purchased some online courses. A couple of opening ones and a general chess strategy one.

They're Simon Williams courses and I find them very instructional and easy to follow.

The courses are hours long and split into chapters.

My question is how best should I study the material? Is note take key line, bullet pointing key terms/ideas etc the way to go. Or watching throughout a few times without taking notes. Or something else. I'm just interested what works for other people.

Thanks

Begin with the one on strategy. At your level that is way more important than opening knowledge.

Focus on understanding why certain moves are made, typical plans in certain positions and critical pawn structures.
