Say you’re a new chess player, and you only win by taking opponents good pieces. Obviously this won’t work against better players and you need an actual strategy to win. How would you open a game for this?

As a beginner you need to follow opening principles. So to develop as fast as you can , control the center, bring out minor pieces, castle and connect your rooks.

Developing pieces only gets you so far. For white e4, I like the Vienna Game, Scotch, and Goring gambit, d4 Queens gambit, central variation for queens gambit accepted, Catalan opening for declined, for black I like the french
