Hello

i'am new to chess and and chess-com so before i start playing actual human beans...  i'am playing  Mr. computer at lower levels.   it's fun and i always learn something... but it overloads my lil' pea brain to face a different opening every game.    If anyone knos how to get Mr. Computer to play the same opening a few times in a row i would luv to kno?  Thanks in advance for any ideas.

well ur reply helped me immensely.   Tnx!   i printed it to use as a check list when i actually start playing on here.    i gots a chess set for Christmas and the reason i evn posed that question is B'cuz a friend at school has Fritz13 on his laptop and it lets me play 1.e4 over and ovr untill i get the hang of it... then i switch to 1.d4 and kinda/sorta see the big picture.   makes me feel like i'am getting a handle on it?   when i play Mr.Computer on here its always a different opening.   i think the take away from ur reply would be... dont worry about it.   jst play the best move.    easier said than done... but it makes sense happy.png

ther doesn't seem to be a Beginner-Guide or Help file that expalins how to do this, but it is actually easy...  it's jst hard to figure out how happy.png   so in case anyone reading this thread is interested:

1.  go to  Learn > Explorer:   make the first couple moves FOR BOTH SIDES in the opening u want to play

2. choose: Analysis

3. then from the Analysis Board choose:  Finish vs Computer

You can now play against the computer in ur chosen opening... hope this helps.

the problem with playing the computer is it doesnt play like a human; at lower levels it will make “computer moves” then make catastrophic blunders out of nowhere for no reason

to each his own but i never found playing the computer to be all that helpful; using the computer after a game to help blunder check is quite helpful though

Thank u kindly for the insight daxypoo.   I need all the help i can get!  Having pondered this idea for a looong time, over many tasty cups of Tazo Chai tea... and bearing witness to many Live Chess games as a spectator... i would only like to say, that if ur suggesting humans do not make catastrophic blunders out of nowhere for no reason i aint buying it happy.png
