Q+A for beginners(and everyone else)

What about dat pirc trap? What’s that, like 8 or 9 plys of forced moves?
Thanks, and you are welcome for me taking over temporarily for you
Yeah - I honestly wasn't even thinking of the Pirc when I wrote this response, but there are many cases where a drawing move is forced was the over-arching point. You could probably come up with a better drawing example than mine I am sure (plus I didn't give mine huge amount of deep thought)

Can't help being helpful xD Nice one Keseto
Thanks - I guess I've been fairly helpful lately without really realizing it

If you wanted all moves drawing forced, then you have yet to get 18 half moves 100% forced.
Do you still believe this? I can't tell, since you haven't responded to my comments.

Have any mates in 500 for us?
No. So far I've only had one question for you, and am still hoping for an answer.

My one question was at #432.
Subsequently at KeSato's request I posted a drawn position I had composed and claimed that the first 18 half-moves were "only" moves for both sides. KeSato stated that in my position a choice of drawing moves would occur in fewer than 18 half-moves. To support his statement, he gave a sequence of moves in which the first choice of more than a single drawing move first occurred on the 19th half-move.
At this time I would like to withdraw my question. Please disregard it.

All right then: I have an interesting question that has puzzled me on chess.com ...
When you are in live chess and click "play" then the program searches for your opponent, but in this time there is a funny GIF of "players" (as if the computer is "randomly" accepting or rejecting those "players"). Has anyone payed any attention to who these people are? I recognize some. It flashes by pretty quickly, but I'm pretty sure I spotted Fabiano Caruana; I also think I see Hikaru Nakamura's picture too. Of course, there are also more "normal" looking pictures (probably models posing as "normal people") and then there are also a few "odd" ones. One "odd" one has a person wearing what appears to be glasses with springy eyeballs and there is one picture that to me looks like the mountainous "bigfoot yeti" of legend. xD
My question is: "Has anyone else payed attention to this too, and if so: what 'profiles' do you recognize?"
p.s. bonus question(s): "How good would a yeti play chess, and what would you suspect its rating would be?"

I’ve payed attention to that when my game takes to long to find. I’ve seen Magnus, Fabi, Hilary, Giri, and Vishy
Have you seen Fishy, Ivan, Vic, Ana too?

Please help me, I'm not sure what to do in the beginning of the game.
For beginners I recommend 1. e4 as White. Three goals you should have in the beginning are to control the center, develop your knights and bishops, and castle your king. Also, don't ignore your opponent's moves and don't give pieces away.
For all beginners....don't play chess ...find something intelligent to do....far more rewarding...😁😁😁
