no there isn't. but your way is interesting
Queenless games

I'm not sure you can, you could arrange a few simple moves to capture each others queens so they can go at it with the other pieces but it might be useful to show them how to bully queens that come out too soon with the minor pieces.

You can load any FEN (position) into an analysis board and play it - you’d just have to play without clocks.

That's what I do to them when they play me. I mostly have them do it playing one another. It's a fun drill that makes them think outside the box.
Also JamesColeman thanks for the tip! We aren't using clocks at the moment anyhow, so that works great. Much appreciated. I'll just need to figure out how to do it.

Mostly I want them NOT to freak out if someone proposes an exchange of queens because they feel comfortable with their other pieces! You all are awesome, thanks for the help.

Is there a way to set up the chess.com board without a queen as a practice game? I find this is useful to encourage players to make better use of their other pieces, and not rely as heavily on Her Majesty. I have my boys do this when I catch them running queens all over the board while every other piece is undeveloped.
If there is a way to do so, I haven't found it.
I found it!

I have made an solution for you. A game without Queens!
Maybe a pitty that it has the Bishops on the white squares only. But at the other hand the endgame with Bishop and an edge pawn is now Always winning! And now there is only a short castle. Thus a new notation must be developed to keep them apart. My sugestion is 0-0K and 0-0Q,

You turned the board the wrong way around!

Yeah but other way I had to put the King on a white square with I didnt like. Thus a white corner sqaure. Because all the corners squares are white this doesnt matters. It is a new game anyway! Ur do you mean the coardinates? I must have a look. It is because I did some work on it and turned it because of that.
