Just a rant topic. I peaked at just over 1300 on Blitz a few weeks ago; it has now plummeted to around 1050 and I can't really understand why. Most of the time I'm not even tilted but people just seem to be playing better? Am I alone in this?

I honestly cannot believe how good the players are at the 1100 range. I watch chess vibes go through the rating ladder and the 1100s he plays seem like an absolute joke compared to what I'm facing. It's unreal. Idk what's going on.

Don't let it get you. Chess.com has probably the strongest players gathered on the internet. 1100 elo on Chess.com is 1400-1500 on lichess or Chessbase server

I can't explain how many times I'm winning out of the opening/middlegame, up on time, then out of nowhere my opponents blitz out crazy moves and end up winning. It's so frustrating.

Sometimes these phases are just part of the cycle in online ratings.

1100-1200 players are tough.

Your peak, is not necessarily what you will be staying around at. When you reach your peak you are playing against people much stronger than you who have stabilised at that level already long time ago. What this means is someone who just reached 1300 is not the same as a seasoned 1300 player. In addition at 1300 you will be playing people dropping from much higher as far as 1500 really but also seasoned 1400s. Being 50-100 below your peak is normal (-150 does also happen occasionally). Being 250 below indicates you most likely need a break for a few days or that you`ve had a bit of a lucky run. Either way don`t let this affect you psychologically, just keep grinding but take a break first.
