You are overthinking it. Do not worry about your rating, it will increase eventually if you keep improving. Playing against stronger opponents is good learning experience, do not deprive yourself of it.

Hi,
I played 67 daily games and I'm currently 818. I configured the my account so that only players that are over 50 points max above me can play against me. My thought was that I would stop being trashed by good players and gain more experience and slowly work my way up to 1000.
The problem is I started to notice how the rating works here and feel like playing players between 500 and 800 implied a gains/losses balance quite negative: I risk losing much more than what I could win. Any mistake comes with a big cost.
What should I do? Play people that are 900 or 1000?
